O’ahu military installations include Bellows Air Force Base, Camp Smith, Ft. Shafter, Hickam Air Force Base, Kaneohe Marine Corp Base, Pearl Harbor, Schofield Barracks and Tripler Army Medical Center.
Hawaii is home to the highest percentage of armed service personnel in the United States, is third among states receiving federal defense spending and that the Department of Defense is the state’s second major source of revenue (with tourism as number one).

Pearl Harbor
On the morning of December 7, 1941 the Imperial Japanese Navy conducted an unannounced military strike against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor resulting in the United States’ entry into World War II. Learn more at PearlHarbor.com.
