O’ahu military installations include Bellows Air Force Base, Camp Smith, Ft. Shafter, Hickam Air Force Base, Kaneohe Marine Corp Base, Pearl Harbor, Schofield Barracks and Tripler Army Medical Center.

Hawaii is home to the highest percentage of armed service personnel in the United States, is third among states receiving federal defense spending and that the Department of Defense is the state’s second major source of revenue (with tourism as number one).
